The Google AI overview on desktop will now have a new right-hand link display. This feature is also available on mobile by tapping on the site icon at the top right of the screen.
Google is also testing integrating links to related web pages directly into the AI overview text. This aims to drive more traffic to sites by making it easier for users to find and view related content.
Users in the US can now save specific AI overviews for future reference. Users can easily revisit the same information and links later by tapping the Save button within the overview.
Apart from this, the company has also added the Simplified Language Option feature. According to Google’s report, initial testing has shown positive results, including more clarifications and traffic on publisher sites.
The new update AI Overview will be gradually rolled out to six new countries, including the United Kingdom, India, Japan, Indonesia, Mexico, and Brazil, with support for local languages.
The feature will be available to Search Labs users in all previously launched countries and in more than 120 countries and regions.
